Dineke Ringle - Meijers

CO-FOUNDER

After completing my Masters I started working for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Working abroad taught me many valuable life lessons; most importantly about the power of diversity that comes from working with people from different cultures. I learned that working in a diverse team is more effective, innovative and - also important - more fun!

Following my adventures abroad I decided to change careers. I found a job in IT to manage a change management program for a global SAP implementation. As a true "alfa" student I'd never thought I would find myself feeling at home in the world of IT. I have however been fortunate to meet people who gave me the opportunity to develop my skills in an unfamiliar field of work. 

Becoming a mom shed a new light on my life priorities and reconciling my professional ambitions with motherhood. In Aline I found a kindred spirit and we are equally motivated to bring more diversity in the world of IT and support women to establish the work-life balance they desire. We also feel strongly that role models are important, particularly for women in IT. 

Next to growing Ellevate I work as a freelance Change Management consultant.

Aline Brunen

Since I started my career 17 years ago, I worked in many SAP implementation projects for big corporates in different industries. I am happy to say that I found my passion as I just love the field of work, the IT world and people you meet and work with.

But over the years, one thing caught my attention. Whenever a project team was staffed diverse, there was a direct impact on the atmosphere, drive and success of the project. This is proven many times by different researches but experiencing it yourself makes the difference.

With becoming a mom I became very conscious of my time, flexibility and I guess work-life balance in general. My urge grew bigger than ever to leave the corporate system and found a company to be able to get most out of family life and my work passion without losing the reward I am looking for.

I feel blessed to be on this journey together with Dineke. We founded Ellevate based on our true believes and experiences and are passionate about making a difference and bringing our ideas to life.
